My summer term at school The Summer term at school really rushed by - it was fun and I can't believe that I have completed my first year at Charterhouse. My end of year exams went OK - in fact I was very pleased as I managed to get the Maths prize. Since the beginning of July, when I broke up I have been helping my mother at The Abbey School in Farnham, Surrey. It is a Special School and it is good fun - I help a bit with the IT and also just join in with the lessons helping a bit when I can. It is interesting because Charterhouse and The Abbey are totally different but in many ways they are the same - they are both really good and positive places and they both seem to really care about all the students. Book Tokens Over the last year I have been given book tokens worth £150.00. They have been prizes which seems really nice but if, like me, you find reading quite hard they are quite hard to spend! I have just bought the latest Harry Potter which I am trying to read at the moment. The last one took me over a year to finish so this one should last me for ages! If anyone has any good ideas about what I can spend my vouchers on please let me know. I have entered a competition which sounds good fun. It is called 'Broadband Britain Challenge' and it is looking for people who use broadband. Actually broadband has made lots of difference to me as it means that I can upload everything for this site quickly and I can read emails and messages very quickly. As I seem to get absolutely loads at the moment broadband has made things much easier. I have been shortlisted for the South east education section which is exciting. They are having roadshows across the country and they recently came to visit me and interviewed me and took lots of photos. I think I am featured at the roadshows! I hope it comes out OK - I have not seen what they have done. My dad has 2 weeks off at the beginning of August and the only definite thing we have got organised is the Broadband regional event at Chatham on August 14th. We keep looking for an exciting holiday on the internet but we have't chosen anything yet. Mum and Dad keep saying that everywhere is too hot but I would like to go to Greece or somewhere. If anyone has any good ideas please let me know! Feedback Please do keep writing to me saying what you think and how I can improve my site or indeed the software. I know some schools are using the site regularly. Indeed I get lots of quiz entries from schools particularly for Special Needs Classes. My software, particularly 'Simple Sums' is proving very popular - my mum uses it regularly where she teaches and she uses it to keep a record of her pupils' improvement. I have watched the students use it and they seem to enjoy it. Please do let me know what you think as this is the only way I can improve what I am doing.
