• HI AGAIN - The summer holidays have now begun! I have got 9 weeks off.
  
  

• MY NAME!
  I found this the other day - I used to write my name like this. Actually I wrote this on March 23rd 1993 during an Educational Psychologists test. It really looks like my brain was all mixed up!
  
  
• TIMES EDUCATION SUPPLEMENT (TES)
  This week TES had an article about this website and I have had loads of extra hits and emails. I have also had lots of new spelling tips. I have put quite a lot of them on and I have rearranged the page a bit. I still have got some more to put on but please keep sending them as the page seems to be really popular.

  
  

• MY COUNTRY QUIZES are still going quite well. The second answer was America. The new quiz for July is now on and new clues will be added each week - on Sundays this month. The quiz will close at the end of July and I will put the new one on at the beginning of August. The other quizes both have regular people who enter and each time I get a few more entries. Please keep entering. Do remember to look in The Hall of Fame to see if you are a winner.
  
  
• THE BRITISH DYSLEXIC ASSOCIATION
  I keep getting emails asking for advice about being dyslexic. I really cannot give advice as all I know is what I have found. The BDA are the experts and maybe you should contact them at http://www.bda-dyslexia.org.uk/ if you want advice. You can click here to go to their website and I am sure they will help.

• SPELLING
  
  When I was at School in Blackford in Somerset I was put in the bottom spelling group. This was probably right as my spelling was and still is terrible but the teacher also seemed to think that we were all stupid just because we couldn't spell. One day I was really fed up and wrote all my answers in code. The teacher did not even notice what I had done and I got 0/10 and I had to write my spelling corrections 3 times. Here is that test which I did on 16/9/98 when I was 9 and a quarter! It is strange but I can learn a spelling list but when I am writing the words in a story or something else they still come out wrong. Things are definitely getting better now and a few rules are getting in my head!

  I have also left on my piece of my work The accident that I did when I was nearly 10. This shows all the masses of spelling mistakes that I made. I still make loads now but I am better organised with spell checkers and I have also learnt a few spelling rules although when I am writing quickly I forget to use them. This really annoys me and I just don't know why I can't remember. My friends seem to just write the right spelling and I just keep writing the words all wrong.
  
  

• COURSES
  
  I am looking forward to going on a Visual Basic Course in London at the end of this month. This has been organised by Course leader and the actual course is with new Horizons. It is 5 whole days long and I hope it is good. Maybe I will then be able to make up a game to go on this site and that would make it more fun. Anyway I will try and learn something good.
