• HI AGAIN - It's June now and nearly the end of term
  I have just had my birthday and I am now 12. I had a cool party and a barbeque. I got a squash racket from mum and dad and lots of other brill things from my friends and my brother and sisters. I have got exams next week. I always seem to have exams but at least we break up at the end of June and don't go back until September!
  

• MY SITE
  I have worked quite hard on 'www.iamdyslexic.com' recently
  • I have now changed my server and it seems very reliable
  • I have now made lots of forms using cgi so that people can just fill in the quiz answers and press a button rather than having to open their email provider like 'Outlook express' or 'Hotmail' or whatever people use. I hope this has been better. Noone has said anything but my entries have definitely increased so I guess it must be easier.
  • I still have the same message board which usually works fine but sometimes this server goes down. You can always tell if it is not going to work as the image counter at the top of the page also does not work. This is my next project - I am going to try and make my own message board and image counter as as I really find it annoying when it doesn't work. This should also make it quicker as it won't have to be directed to another site. If anyone could give me some help with this I would be very grateful.
  
  
  
• EXAM RESULTS
  I have been a bit slow writing this - I started it nearly 2 weeks ago and I have now got all my exam results. I did OK, actually I was really pleased with my maths, science and RS as I managed to come top in these. Unfortunately my Latin really does seem to be a disaster. I have worked very hard but I only got 35%. It is very depressing as I just do not think I am ever going to master it. I would like to stop doing it but I will have to do something else instead and that will probably be difficult to organise. I would like to do some more programming but I can't really do that at school.

  
  

• MY NEW COUNTRY QUIZ was a big success last month (May). I got lots of entries. The first answer was France and loads of people got it. The new quiz for June is now on and new clues will be added each week - on Fridays this month. The quiz will close at the end of June and I will put the new one on at the beginning of July. Please remember you are only allowed 3 guesses each week. The other quizes both have regular people who enter and each time I get a few more entries. Please keep entering. Do remember to look in The Hall of Fame to see if you are a winner.
  
  
• SPELLING
  I have just found a piece of my work that I did when I was nearly 10. This shows all the masses of spelling mistakes that I made. I still make loads now but I am better organised with spell checkers and I have also learnt a few spelling rules although when I am writing quickly I forget to use them. This really annoys me and I just don't know why I can't remember. My friends seem to just write the right spelling and I just keep writing the words all wrong.
  
  
• COURSES
  
  
  • I have now completed 3 full days doing Microsoft Access. My school is really nice as I did the last one on an exam day and they still let me go. Unfortunately I still had to take the missing exams another day! Everyone else on the courses is an adult but they are very nice and I have learnt loads. I am making a programme for my mum to use at her school. She runs the tennis and has about 160 players. They use different venues, have different teachers and play on different days. She also has about 10 different teams and we also string the players rackets when they break. I am putting all this info into Access to make it really easy for her to use!
  • I have booked to go on a Visual Basic Course in London at the end of July. It is a week long and I hope it is good. Maybe I will then be able to make up a game to go on this site and that would make it more fun. Anyway I will try and learn something good.

• CRICKET SCORING PROGRAMME
  
  I have now used my programme quite a few times. It actually does work. I got really excited when I first realised that it was going to be a success. It actually works out the bowlers overs, maidens, runs,wickets and averages. It also gives the total numbers of runs that each batter has scored and also how each one was out. This is all printed on a final sheet and then the teacher can put this sheet on the board.
