• I get up
• I turn on my iBook and open my template for school.
• My template is just an empty page with the date and my name on. This means that I am ready to start typing immediately in lessons
• I then close the ibook and it goes to sleep
• I wish I could go back to sleep

8:00

• I get on the Bus
• I have a really good rucksac which is a special one for holding a laptop
• My bag is actually quite heavy so its much better to have a rucksac

8:20

• I get to school and leave my bag with the school secretary and then go to my class.
• I am lucky because the school secretary is really kind and does not mind me disturbing her all day when I leave my bag and then pick up my bag.
• I dont know what would happen if there were lots of people with laptops - I think she would need a bigger room.
• I get ready for absembly and go down at 8:30

9:00 - 10:55

• I pick up my bag after absembly and go up to my class for registration
• I then go to my first 3 lessons
• I actually have just been given an extra large desk as I find an ordinary one is too small for my ibook and all my other books

11:00

• I leave my iBook in the secretary's office
• Go to break

11:20 - 1:15

• Pick up my bag.
• Go to next 3 lessons

1:15 - 2:00

• Leave bag and have lunch. Then get changed for games which I have later on in theday. Then we have freetime.

2:05 - 3:00

• I pick up bag and I go to my next lesson
  • I find that it is really important to organise my work well. It is really easy to file it on my laptop.
  • I have made folders for each subject and I always give each new piece of work a new name so that it is always really easy to find. I always make sure that I put the new piece of work in the correct Subject folder on my iBook.
  • I always save my work at the end of each lesson but I also leave the document open until I have printed it out. That always reminds me what I have to print out when I get home.
  • I always print out a copy (on blue paper) before I spell check it (once I have printed this I don't keep it). This final version I print out on white paper.
  • I file this final version in the correct subject folder on my laptop
  • As well as organising my work on the laptop I also have to have it organised in proper hard back folders.
  • When I first started using my computer I kept everything in one folder but now I have a seperate folder for each subject. This works well.
  • At first some of the teachers wanted me to keep using an excercise book like everyone else and they wanted me to stick in the work. This was not a good idea and soon all the teachers let me keep all my work in folders.
  • I actually find that I now only hand in both versions of my work (blue and white) in English. I don't think the other teachers really want to be reminded of my terrible spelling all the time. After all I hope they are looking at what I have written and not the spelling!

2:05 - 4:00

• I leave bag and go to games(sport)

4:05 - 4:40

• I get changed back into my school uniform, then we have freetime again.

4:45 - 5:45

• I pick up my bag and then I go to my class to do my prep (homework). I nearly always use my ibook for this.
• The battery always seems to keep going all day. This is definitely one of the advantages of the ibook. Actually I do have a spare lead just in case it runs out.

6:00

• I get on the Bus to go home

6:30

• I print out all my school work
• I print out 2 copies - one in blue which I just print then I use the spell check and then I often get help from Mum or Dad for the spelling mistakes that the spell check can't find. I print a second copy out on white paper which is usually quite easy for my teachers to read.
• I hand in both copies the next day
• Before I go to bed I always plug in my ibook so that it is fully charged by the morning
